Churchyard

Here we were asked to see if we could establish the extent of a church chancel at Weston-on-the-Green which was demolished in the 1740's.

We used resistivity with a twin probe array with a half metre separation between the mobile probes. If the results had not been good enough at that separation then a 1metre separation would have been used.

The 20 metre grid was covered at a 0.5 metre sample interval.

Despite there being many burials on the area of the former chancel its extent and shape appears to have been detected.

High resistance is red and low blue.
